Rebates, Financing & Eligible Improvements

Cash rebate

Although $500 is the maximum rebate for all work completed, by implementing multiple improvements you will continue to experience energy savings on your monthly utility bill. Some improvements have lower maximum amounts, and some require power company pre-approval (see table below).


Financing is available for recommended eligible improvements, subject to credit approval (where available).

Eligible improvements

The items below are eligible for financing or up to a 50 percent cash rebate on recommended improvements. Some items may also be eligible for federal tax credits. For information on other incentives that may be available visit the Tax Incentives Assistance Project site.

Replacement windows (must be ENERGY STAR® qualified) $500 NO NO

Duct repair/replacement and sealing (existing HVAC only) $500 YES NO
Rehabilitation work (minor repair work such as broken glass, glazing, or prime door replacement, with power company pre-approval) $250 YES YES

HVAC Replacement (must be ENERGY STAR ® qualified)

• Air conditioning (with gas pack or gas split)

Non-eligible items

The following items are not eligible for the cash incentive or financing option:

  • Carbon monoxide detector or monitor
  • Clothes washers or dryers
  • Compact fluorescent bulbs
  • Dishwashers
  • Insulated garage doors
  • Programmable thermostats (existing HVAC)
  • Radiant barriers
  • Refrigerators
  • Room air conditioners
  • Storm doors
  • Wall insulation (excluding kneewall insulation)
  • Water heaters (including tankless/instantaneous)
  • Window film/solar screens
